Growing up I loved to read nursery rhymes. I thought the stories were simple, fun, and straightforward to learn. These folks were among the first books I learned to learn. Now as a preschool teacher I understand the value of teaching young children these rhymes. It introduces the crooks to rhyming, simple parts of an account for example expected outcomes, characters, setting, and plot. Also, they are very catchy.
